Professional Background
With over 10 years experience in the field of psychological therapies, I have worked across as a variety of settings; as a counsellor within NHS Primary Care, with community counselling services (including probation) and for the mental health charity, “Mind”. I also have extensive experience of delivering therapy for Employee Assistance Programmes and am the manager of counselling provision for staff seen within the Occupational Health Department of a local university.
Working in private practice in Salford, I am able to offer both long-term and brief individual Gestalt psychotherapy and counselling. Assessment sessions are an opportunity for us to explore what kind of contract might suit you best, in your particular circumstances.
A bit about me
Born in the Northwest, I started my working life as a classical musician, studying, performing and teaching both within the UK and further afield. My long-standing curiosity about how people are, how they support themselves and how they develop in relationship led me to train and qualify as a therapist. Both music and psychotherapy remain passions of mine.
